We are pleased to announce the publication of “Laying the Groundwork: A Practical Guide for Research with Indigenous Communities”. The paper was written by Julia Riddell, Debra Pepler, Shelley Cardinal, Onowa McIvor and Angela Salamanca for a special issue titled Reconciling Research: Perspectives on Research Involving Indigenous Peoples in the International Indigenous Policy Journal. The paper can be accessed here.
This team also submitted comments to the Panel on Research Ethics for the Tri-Council agencies (CIHR, SSHRC, and NSERC) during their recent open consultation in early 2017. The panel was seeking comments and feedback for proposed changes to their ethical research guidelines (the Tri-Council Policy Statement). You can find the team’s comments here (number 65).
